Robotex (left) are moving on from their prototype and building their actual robot.
Swags (right) are making modifications to the basic clawbot model, enhancing the designs to meet our game needs. Homeworks: Parents, review the Key Concepts section of the robotics home page and review the "Turning Scrub" concept. This principle will be key to how well the robots will drive. Robotex - start thinking of how to program the robot. Unlike the October competition, we will need to fetch balls and score in basket, before we park... Think of how we can use sensors to help. E.g. move until we hit a fence; move forward until we cross two black lines; look around until you find a blue ramp; etc. Swags - robot is too long by 4'. Expand on ideas discussed in class:
Engineer's log: DO NOT REINVENT THE WHEEL. Coach Hisa's pet peeve... If you have a working prototype / base model to work off of. Please leverage it!!!!
